NEPSE increased by more than 3.5 percent in the week

Kathmandu: This week, the NEPSE index has increased by more than 3.5 percent. NEPSE, which closed last week at 1866.79 points, increased by 3.63 percent or 67.68 percent to 1934.47 points this week.

With the market moving higher on 3 out of 5 trading days, NEPSE has earned the same points. This week’s market was affected by the news of mid-March and the interest rate cut. On the first trading day of the week, the market fell due to the effect of late March, and on Wednesday, the news of interest rate reduction had an impact. The NEPSE increased by 92.22 points as commercial banks cut interest rates on fixed deposits to single digits.

All the 13 sub-indexes rise this week. Out of which the index of hotel and tourism has increased the most by 5.66 percent. Similarly, the index of finance and manufacturing and processing rise more than 5 percent this week. The non-life insurance index fell the lowest this week at 1.88 percent. On the basis of points, this week the index of life insurance has increased the most by 271.98 points.

This week, the share price of Adarsh Laghubitta has increased the most by 27.77 percent. Similarly, the share price of Mahuli Laghubitta has increased by 11.23 percent, while the prices of stocks including Unilever Nepal, Khaptad Laghubitta and Asha Laghubitta have increased by more than 10 percent. The rate of decline of the stocks that fell in price this week is less than 4 percent.
